Welcome to the Humanities Research Staff Blog. We thought that it would be useful to set up a blog so that we could have one place for you to go to find out about new job opportunities, upcoming internal and external training events, new funding calls and other information that might be useful or relevant. I’m planning to use the blog to post all of the latest news as and when it happens (rather than sending you endless messages via the listerv, although I will still use that to send monthly updates). I hope the advantage of this system will be that you can check in as frequently as you like and get up-to-date information without my e-mails cluttering your inbox but, if you don’t want to use the blog, you’ll still get a general overview of what we’re up to and what training is on offer.
While you’re here, take the time to look around – you’ll notice that we have links to other blogs that you might find useful, RSS feeds from Guardian jobs and Jobs.ac.uk, a feed from our Twitter page and the potential for you to sign up for e-mail alerts each time there’s a new post. You can also respond to my posts by leaving a comment.
I hope you’ll find the blog useful and convenient to use. As always if you have ideas for improvements, questions about any aspect of contract research, or suggestions for content (for the blog, website or training programme), don’t hesitate to get in touch.
