Got a business idea…?

If so, you might want to enter the RCUK Business Plan Competition and be in with a chance of bagging £25,000 start up funding.

The competition is open to researchers from across the whole breadth of activity supported by the Research Councils who encourage a wide range of business models including: service, lifestyle, or social enterprises, joint ventures, and licensing to established companies.

Taking part is easy – just prepare a one page summary of your business idea, without giving away any potential business secrets and complete the application form. Your application form MUST be submitted by your Technology Transfer Office. Therefore, in the case of The University of Manchester, please submit your application form to The University of Manchester Intellectual Property Limited (UMIP) who will submit it to the Research Council UK on your behalf.
