Research Methods Training

Just a reminder that Methods@manchester is launching its ‘What is…?’ series of lunchtime seminars this semester. The sessions will take place on a Thursday lunchtime, and will provide a basic overview of a research method or approach and are ideal for researchers who are new to a particular approach or are thinking about trying it out. The sessions are led by a Manchester ‘expert’, who will also be providing text about the method for the Methods website. The sesisons this month will be on:

Social Network Analysis (Jan 21st) – Martin Everett

eResesarch (Jan 28th) – Peter Halfpenny

For the full list of forthcoming seminars, see: http://www.methods.manchester.ac.uk/events/whatis/

In addition to these short introductory sessions, methods@manchester also advertise short research methods courses. While most of the courses have a cost attached to them, most also offer 5 free places to Humanities researchers. The full list of courses and further details about each one can be found at: http://www.methods.manchester.ac.uk/courses/
