3-day course in modelling social science data – 6th, 7th and 8th July
09:30 – 16:30 Humanities Bridgeford/Tuer Street, room CRESC/CCSR Lab Basement
This short course provides a general perspective on the analysis of data using generalised linear models. Participants will use the statistical software package R and its graphical interface Rcmdr to represent information as data and model a variety of these using linear and logit models. Model selection, diagnostics and transformations will also be dealt with using a combination of lectures and practical sessions. Although this course does not assume advanced statistical knowledge, participants should be familiar with basic statistical terminology and design issues. The course will be delivered by Dr. Graeme Hutcheson (School of Education).
