Fixed Term Contract for 12 months (beginning October/November 2010)
The Institute of Advanced Study at Warwick University invites applications from outstanding researchers who are at the beginning of a promising academic career; applications are welcome from across all Faculties and disciplines and must be supported by a Warwick nominator.
It is essential that you have proposed research projects that closely complement your nominated academic department’s current research interests. Nominators will be required to make a strong case for the applicant’s strategic contribution to the research within their department. In keeping with the ethos of Warwick IAS, interdisciplinary research applications are strongly encouraged.
You should hold a doctorate and be within 3 years of your PhD graduation. You should not have more than 3 year’s postdoctoral research/teaching experience or hold, nor have held, a permanent academic post.
Please note that although the Fellowships will be located in the IAS, you must be nominated by an academic in a Warwick department. Applicants external to the University are requested to identify and approach a member of academic staff at Warwick to nominate them for consideration. The letter, to be completed by the nominator, can be downloaded from the ‘further details’ link at the bottom of this advert (see Appendix A).
Applications without a signed nomination form will not be considered.
Interview date: Late August/Early September 2010
