If you’re looking for a post-doc fellowship and don’t mind relocating (not that I’m trying to contribute to the brain drain…) , you might want to consider applying for a Banting Post-doc fellowship at a Canadian University:
“The objective of the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program is to attract and retain top-tier postdoctoral talent, both nationally and internationally, to develop their leadership potential and to position them for success as research leaders of tomorrow, positively contributing to Canada’s economic, social and research-based growth through a research-intensive career”.
Fellowships are tenable for 2 years and have a value of $70,000 CDN per year. They are open to people in any discipline and of any nationality. To be eligible for the 2010 programme, you have to have completed your doctorate between November 3rd, 2007 and December 31, 2010, and you are expected to find a host institution (must be in Canada) which is willing to host the fellowship before making your application.
Application deadline is November 3rd 2010.
