Located in a 4 star hotel set in its own beautiful grounds on the edge of Preston, the Lancaster NWES will support the development of enterprise and entrepreneurship skills for post-graduate research students and post-doctoral researchers through an intensive residential course lasting four days. The L-NWES will encompass a range of enterprise skills, knowledge and practices that will be of significant benefit to all PG researchers. The School will include a special emphasis on social enterprise and will aim to explore opportunities in the creative industries as part of its wider programme of enterprise skill development. Utilising a team drawn from NW universities, the private sector and social enterprises, the school will include opportunities for the development of your networking skills, team building experience and will help establish enterprise as a crucial part of your personal skill set. Building on the successful model of previous Enterprise Schools, the L-NWES will be a vital element in career development for PG researchers from all disciplines.
