What skills do you have?

A recent Inside Higher Ed post outlines some of the transferable skills that academics and researchers are likely to have developed during their time in academia.


Jessica Quillin suggests that academics rarely consider their broader skill set, focussing instead on their specialist subject knowledge. Nevertheless, she argues, working in higher education equips academics with a range of management, analytical and people skills which are valued highly outside of the academy.
