Pathways is an annual careers event for PhD researchers and research staff.
The event takes place over three days and is designed to support delegates in making career choices, exploring future plans and discovering the breadth of opportunities available to them.
This year, over the three days, Pathways comprises:
• Question and Answer panels (Friday June 10th Renold Building)
• Interviews and Assessment Workshops (Monday June 13th Renold Building)
• a recruiter exhibition and much more (Wednesday June 15th Armitage Centre)
A collaborative event between all four Faculties, there’s something for all students and researchers from all areas of study and at any stage in their career planning.
The event is always well attended (around 500 participants took part in 2009) and presents a real range of perspectives on a whole host of academic and non-academic job options for people with PhDs (from around 90 contributors). The event is also open to other HEIs in the Northwest so you get a chance to meet researchers from other Universities, as well as from other Faculties at Manchester.
If you’re still not sure, watch the short video on the Pathways website to get a better sense of what it’s all about, and to hear some feedback from previous participants.
