Friday 4 November 2011, 09:30 – 16:30, University Place 6.206
This full-day course is designed for researchers who write papers, theses or reports as part of their work. The course consists of intensive tuition and gives participants immediate, useable methods of improving prose, developing arguments, strengthening organisation and avoiding common errors.
The day itself involves instruction, group exercises and discussion – all designed to increase the quality of participants’ writing and to develop their confidence and critical thinking.
Participants are also required to send in a sample of their writing prior to the course. A section of this sample will then be edited and returned on the day itself providing participants with personal, tailored feedback on their prose (more details will be provided if your application to attend is successful).
