Research Staff: Perspectives, Opportunities and Support at the University of Manchester (Wednesday Feb 8th, 10.00-12.00)
This workshop is intended to introduce new Research Staff to the University of Manchester, to inform you about the support and opportunities for career and research development at the University, and to allow you to meet other members of Research Staff from across the University.
You’ll have the opportunity to hear from members of research staff who will tell you about their own experiences at Manchester, as well as explaining some of the researcher-led initiatives they’re involved in. You’ll also hear from a member of the HR team who will fill you in on what you need to know about your contract and employment, and from one of the Faculty Research Development Officers who will explain the various career development opportunities open to you. You’ll also be able to pick up information from a variety of other support providers including the John Rylands University Library, methods@manchester, Vitae, artsmethods@manchester, University of Manchester Intellectual Property and Research Computing Services.
