The 2013/2014 Simon and Hallsworth scheme briefing will take place on Tuesday September 24th 2013, 12:00 – 13:00 (room TBC).
The original bequests made in the early 1940’s represent the largest endowment to the University and the investments are usually made to early career researchers; visiting appointments for external researchers, policy makers and practitioners and major conferences.
As for early career researchers, the scheme aims to support them to undertake high quality research and to develop various elements of their research and knowledge exchange skills.
The upcoming briefing session is divided into three parts:
1. Professor Toby Seddon, The Research Director for the School of Law, and a long-serving member of the Simon and Hallsworth Committee, will introduce the Fellowship, talk about a) the peer reviewing process, b) what makes a good application and c) common mistakes that applicants make.
2. Dr Japhy Wilson, a Hallsworth fellow, will share his experience of applying for this fellowship.
3. There will be a Q&A session where you will be able to ask any questions you have related to this fellowship.
