This blog contains news items primarily intended for Research Staff from the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Manchester.
The Faculty of Humanities Researcher Development Team works alongside other University training providers to offer relevant, effective and comprehensive professional development for researchers at various stages of their careers. In addition to a range of training opportunities for post-graduate students and a development scheme for supervisors, the Faculty also provides tailored support for Research Staff, which aims to:
- Focus on individuals to provide support for personal and professional development;
- Build researcher confidence through the development of a range of discipline-specific, research, academic and transferrable skills;
- Help researchers to fulfil their potential and succeed in a highly competitive job market and
- Enhance the ‘Manchester Experience’ by ensuring that researchers enjoy and benefit from their time at the University.
In order to achieve these aims, the Faculty Researcher Development Team delivers a development programme which is flexible enough to meet the needs of a range of Research Staff and robust enough to offer development of real and practical value.
